2023 MYBA SPRING LEAGUE PLAY-OFF FORMATS:

Coaches please note and plan accordingly!

TIE BREAKERS: 1st Tie Breaker is Head-to-Head games. 2nd Tie Breaker is run differential in Head-to-Head games (No max per game). 3rd Tie Breaker is runs allowed in Head-to-Head games. 4th Tie Breaker is runs allowed in games vs common opponents. 5th Tie Breaker is Runs scored in games vs common opponents. 6th Tie Breaker flip of coin. Note: A tie game is ½ win and ½ loss, and will be reflected as such in calculating a teams winning percentage.

SEEDING: Teams will be seeded based on their record using the above tie breaker system. If teams have not played the same number of games (as of the date of record) we will use winning percentage in order to seed teams.

RAIN-OUTS: We will reschedule games as soon as they are rained out. We reserve the right to establish a cut-off date for the rescheduling of games should it become necessary towards the end of the regular season.

NOTE: All Divisions that are being Split after one (1) round of games will be Split after games played on April 4th, based on each Team’s winning percentage, regardless of the number of games played.

NOTE: The Division will be split for Play-offs no later than after Games played on TBD – Winning percentage will be used for splitting of the Division when teams have not played the same number of games.

12U AAA DIVISION Fifteen (15) teams – Each plays one (1) round of games (14 Games). We will then Split the Division into AAA 1 (Top 6), AAA 2 (Next 6), AA 1 (Bottom 3). AAA 1 and AAA 2 Teams will be Seeded 1 through 6 – with top 3 playing each other once, and bottom 3 playing each other once- Total (16) Games – AAA 1 and AAA 2 will then be Seeded for the Play-offs with Seeds 4-6 at the split unable to improve better than a 4 Seed for the Play-Offs. AA 2 (Bottom 3) playneach other once, and then will be Seeded for the Play-Offs.
